Complete vaccination
Every puppy at Criadero 4Patas begins its paediatric vaccination programme before being handed over to its new family. We apply the multivalent protocol covering parvovirus, distemper, infectious canine hepatitis, parainfluenza and leptospirosis, following the protocol recommended by registered veterinarians in Dénia. The first dose is given at around six to eight weeks of age and is recorded in the puppy's health booklet, along with the vet centre stamp, the batch number of the medicine and the exact date. We hand over this booklet in person so that the buyer can continue the vaccination calendar with their usual vet and complete the booster doses on schedule.
Internal and external parasite treatment
Puppies follow a fortnightly internal de-worming protocol from two weeks of age until handover, using paediatric antiparasitic products prescribed by the vet. From eight weeks onwards we add external protection against fleas and ticks with a pipette or equivalent product, adapted to the weight and breed of the puppy. Each application is noted in the health booklet with the date, the commercial name of the product and the dose given. This way the new family knows exactly when the next de-worming is due and can continue the calendar without interruption, avoiding coverage gaps during the most sensitive growth period.
Veterinary health certificate
Before handover, each puppy undergoes a full in-person examination by registered veterinarians in Dénia. The check-up includes cardiac and pulmonary auscultation, abdominal palpation, ocular and otological review, dental development assessment, and evaluation of nutritional status and paediatric weight. The result is documented in a signed and stamped health certificate on physical paper, which is handed to the buyer when they collect the puppy. This document accompanies the health booklet and records the puppy's general condition on the exact date of delivery, serving as a clinical reference for the vet who will continue to monitor the animal.
Written purchase contract
Every reservation at Criadero 4Patas is formalised with a bilateral contract signed by both the buyer and the breeder. The document includes the puppy's identifying details (breed, sex, date of birth and legal identification), the kennel's zoological nucleus code, the health commitments provided, the conditions of the viral guarantee, and the rights and obligations of both parties. We also detail feeding, socialisation and handling recommendations for the first weeks in the new home. The buyer receives a physical copy of the contract together with the health booklet and the veterinary certificate at the moment of collection.
15-day viral guarantee
We offer a viral guarantee of fifteen calendar days from the date of handover. This coverage applies to paediatric viral diseases that manifest in the period immediately following the change of home — such as parvovirus or distemper — provided that the diagnosis is confirmed by a registered veterinarian through a specific test. To activate the guarantee, the family must contact the kennel as soon as symptoms appear and provide the corresponding veterinary report. The exact conditions, exclusions and claims procedure are described in the contract signed at reservation. We accompany every family during this critical period to answer questions and coordinate the appropriate clinical response.
