Many Valencian families choose the Pomeranian precisely because it suits dense urban living: compact flats in Ruzafa, El Carmen or El Cabanyal, where its mini size (1.8–3.5 kg) makes it a discreet companion that fits in any lift and on any sofa.

The Pomeranian is very sociable but also enjoys long afternoon naps at home, which fits the Valencian rhythm: short walks along the Alameda, afternoons on a dog-friendly terrace in Ruzafa, and weekends at the Albufera or any nearby beach. In summer, early morning walks are best — Valencia's humid heat is more demanding for its double coat than the drier climate of Alicante.

Is the Pomeranian a good choice for a small flat in Valencia?
One of the best options for city flats. Its 1.8–3.5 kg allows it to live comfortably in Cabanyal or Ruzafa flats where space is limited; it does not need a patio and is happy with short but frequent walks. It copes well with days at home if the family socialises it properly from puppyhood.
